+ to help you stay motivated during the winter months
- Set goals for yourself - you are more likely to stick at something and achieve it. Set a target weight or train for an event.
- Find a gym buddy. If you struggle to get to the gym in the cold months, find a friend or family member to motivate you and keep you company.
- Try a new group exercise class or activity course. An instructor will assist with motivation and working out in a group is always fun!
- Update your music. Put new songs or tracks on your ipod to keep you moving to the beat.
- Jump on the Express Train – Join Maria every Monday and Wednesday at 9.30am to assist you with an energising and ‘express’ workout… you don’t have to travel on your own!
- Choose something you enjoy. If you are enjoying your workouts then you are more likely to train harder and more often.
- Ask for help. If bored with your current workout then see one of our staff to jazz it up introducing a new workout and/or exercises to your training regime.
- Treat yourself. How about some new workout gear...nothing like the ‘look good, feel good’ factor!
- Take your summer training indoors. Swim in the endless pools or cycle the roads in an indoor cycling class. A change of scenery adds variety and inspiration.
- You determine your own success! Some days won’t go to plan, however it is just a matter of re-evaluating the week with your end goal in mind.
